OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM 
 

Hunter Brendle is President of Brendle Sprinkler Company, Inc., based in Montgomery, Alabama. Brendle Sprinkler was founded in 1960 by Hunter’s grandfather and uncle and was then led for over 40 years by Hunter’s father F.C. (Kit) Brendle, Jr. Hunter began working in the shop as a teenager, to working in the field as a helper and apprentice, to later transitioning into the office. Hunter strives to protect Brendle’s legacy and reputation and is a proud third-generation in fire protection. Brendle is past president and current board member of the Alabama Fire Sprinkler Association, board member for the Tony Bice Memorial Golf Tournament, which has raised over a million dollars for Alabama burn care facilities and serves on AFSA’s National Convention, Membership, NextGen, and Public Education & Awareness committees. He holds a NICET Level III in Water-Based Systems Layout, Florida Fire Protection Contractor II, and is a graduate of AFSA’s Apprenticeship Training Series. Hunter enjoys coaching sports and is married to his wife Bethany, and they have three children: Fischer, Avonlea, and Archer.

 

Gail Brendle is the Chief Administation Manager of Brendle Sprinkler. She began with the company in 1976. Gail graduated from Auburn University. She loves being a GB to her grandchildren as well as taking care of Brendle employees as if they were her own family.  

 

Mr. F. C. (Kit) Brendle, Jr. is the Retired GOAT and Special Consultant of Brendle Sprinkler Co., Inc. He began with the company in 1971. He has served 3 times as the President of the Alabama Fire Sprinkler Association. Kit graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Kit is married to Gail, with whom he has three children: Jay, Hunter, and Jenna.  One of Kit's greatest sayings is "the world would be a much better place if everyone just learned to alternate their merge."
 

NEW CONSTRUCTION

 

Gene Taylor serves as the Vice President of Field Operations at Brendle Sprinkler. Gene has been with the company since 1996. He worked for 23 years as a pipe fitter and came into the office to take on the role as Field Superintendent in 2020. Gene continues to grow in his role with Brendle Sprinkler and has recently taken over Field Operations. He has a NICET Level II in Fire Protection Water-Based Systems Layout and is a graduate of AFSA’s Apprenticeship Training Series. Gene is married to his wife Sandi, and together they have three children. Harleigh, Jeci, and Logan.

 

Aron Andrews is the Regional Manager of the Tuscaloosa office.  He has been with the company since 2022 with experience in the business since 2005. He has a NICET Level III in Fire Protection Water-Based Systems Layout. Aron lives in Tuscaloosa with his wife, Teri, and their two children: Avery and Emory.

 

Dustin Green is the Regional Manager for our Huntsville Office.  He has been with the company since 2006.  He has a NICET Level II in Fire Protection Water-Based Systems Layout and is a graduate of AFSA’s Apprenticeship Training Series.. Dustin started off as a helper in the fire sprinkler industry and has put in the time, work ethic, and education to take over the Huntsville Office in 2021. Dustin is married to his wife Jennifer, and they have three children. Kadence, Emma, and Bennett.

 

Alex Adams is our Estimator/Project Manager. Alex graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Exercise Science. Alex has been with the company since 2022. He is a NICET Level II in Fire Protection Water-Based Systems Layout. Alex currently lives in Wetumpka with his wife, Erin, who is a Guidance Counselor at Flowers Elementary.

 

John L. Goodman, (Junior) serves as our Field Superintendent. Junior has been with the company since 1971. He worked for 27 years as a pipe fitter and came into the office to take over Superintendent in 1998. Junior recently celebrated his 50 year work anniversary! Junior has helped guide Brendle Sprinkler and many employees throughout his 50+ years of employment. Junior lives in Fleahop, Alabama with his wife Deborah. 

 

George Johnson serves as our Huntsville Superintendent. George started with Brendle in 2011 and is a graduate of AFSA’s Apprenticeship Training Series. George is married to his wife Jessica and together they have two girls.

 

Dale Munroe is our Safety Manager/Superintendent. During his 30+ years with the company, Dale has spent time in different departments with Brendle Sprinkler Company. Dale recently was over Purchasing but in November of 2023, stepped into a new role of Safety and Superintendent. Known as Pop Pop to his grandchildren, Dale lives in Wetumpka, Alabama with his wife Natalie. Dale has three children: David, Ryan, and Sarah.

 

Michael Watts serves as our Underground/Superintendent. Michael has been with the company for over 30+ years. Michael's ability to work with code officials and General Contractors makes him a valuable part of our construction team.

 

SERVICE WORK 

 

Charles T. Bierlair, has been with the company since 1977, is the Service and Inspections Manager. He is a NICET Level IV in Fire Protection Layout and Level III in Inspection and Testing. He has also served as the President of the Alabama Fire Sprinkler Association. Charles has worked with NICET on testing as well as been a consultant to many AHJ's, Design Teams, and Construction professionals with his knowledge of Fire Sprinkler Protection. Charles currently lives in Montgomery with his wife Pam. 

 

Randy Stephens has been with Brendle since 1986. Randy serves as the Superintendent for the Service Department. Randy is a graduate of AFSA’s Apprenticeship Training Series.

INSPECTION AND TESTING 

 

Larry W. Munroe, started with Brendle in 1982, manages the inspection and testing of sprinkler systems. Larry is a Nicet Level III in Inspection and Testing.

DESIGN TEAM

 

Ken Helton is our Senior Design Manager. Ken has 30+ years in automatic sprinkler system layout and in Jan. 1990 he obtained a Senior Engineering Technician certification (NICET Level IV) in Fire Protection Engineering Technology Automatic Sprinkler System Layout. Cert. # 075522. He has been with Brendle since 2005.
